A 28-year veteran of the Elizabeth (NJ) FD was struck and killed by a fire truck early this morning on the scene of a two-alarm house fire. Witnesses say the firefighter was pinned beneath the rig.
FirefighterCloseCalls.com says early word is that the firefighter was establishing a supply line when he was hit.
WNYW-TV identifies the firefighter as 57-year-old Gary Stephens.
