It’s Back

Winter's return

Up to a foot of snow possible in Brainerd area in coming days

Spring may have to wait a little longer.
Sunday's bright sun and 40-degree temperatures also brought news that a winter storm warning had been issued from 6 p.m. Monday through 7 a.m. Tuesday for Aitkin, Cass, Crow Wing, Morrison and Todd counties.
The storm, moving east out of the Rocky Mountains, could bring as much as 8 to 12 inches of snow to Brainerd, said Tom Lonka, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Duluth Full Story Here

I really did want to use up the gas in the snow blower. I hope that this additional snow brings the lake levels back up where they should be. The Mississippi river here is at flood stage but low enough to not be a threat here. Down river at Fort Ripley it is out of its banks, so this should keep it there for a while.
