Foam Use in Question

This is going to open a big can of worms, maybe? Every time I checked the MSDA sheets for foam it always said that it would not harm the the environment? Interesting to see how this plays out?

State agencies to sample groundwater, soil and drinking water supplies possibly affected by firefighting foams Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) will sample drinking water supplies at sites around the state where it is possible that the use of firefighting foams has resulted in perfluorochemicals (PFCs) seeping into the ground.
