Georgia - Firefighters from the Milledgeville Fire Department are without a place to sleep after a fire hit close to home, destroying the bunkroom at Station No. 1 on Thomas Street mid-afternoon Monday. Milledgeville Fire Department Chief Tom Dietrich said he had just returned from a meeting with the fire marshal Monday afternoon and was sitting in his car just outside of Fire Station No. 1 when he received a call from someone who stated that the fire department was on fire, he said.
